Little Jo and Earnestine don't know it but they're being fattened up for the Browns' table. Every year, Joe Brown lets Joe Jr. cut out a couple of heifers for his FFA project and for the county fair. Joe Jr. takes real good care of the cows. He's won a blue ribbon the past two years.
Pretty soon the Browns' freezer will be full of beef.
This scratch built model includes the following features:
- five hand cut and framed windows
- two scratch built barn doors
- one scratch built side door
- a stick built tractor/tool shed with lots of tools on the walls
- corrugated, slightly rusted, metal roofing
- fancy exposed beams
- two hand painted black angus cows
- two salt licks
- two scratch built tin water troughs
- stick built creosoted fencing
- cow pies galore
- hay bales
- hay in the field
- dirt trails in the pasture
The model sits on a base Gatorfoam (tm) that measures 4 1/2" x 5". At its highest point, the top of the main roof, the model stands just under 2 1/2" tall. As always, I will include a detailed materials list and a brief how-to should you wish to match the scenery materials that I used to make this diorama. I hope that this
hand made, signed and dated, diorama will find a place on your
z-scale train layout or as a conversation piece on your shelf, mantle,
or desk.
Please note this is a scale model, not a toy. It is not suitable for children. Besides it is much too nice for children in any case.
I will happily ship outside of the United States. Please contact me and we can work out shipping details if you are interested.
