Four Square Sears Kit House
The Jenkins moved into the lovely house on Poplar Street a few years ago. Before they moved in the picket fence had gotten a little ratty, the shutters were sagging, and the roof needed a new coat of paint. But Jim and Rhonda rolled up their sleeves and set to work. Jim fixed up a shop in the old garage, Rhonda fertilized the hydrangeas. Now their old kit home is a showplace. They just love living on Poplar Street.

I used a Paw of a Bear, LLC kit to build this four-square style house is typical of those found all over the United States. A modest kit house from the 1926 Honor Bilt Catalog featuring:
- 22 delicate laser cut windows complete with curtains and glazing
- shutters with crescent moon cutouts
- 2 laser cut doors
- lacy railings on the front porch
- a cellar door
- picket-fencing all around the property
- a clothesline with sheets hanging out to dry
- a hand painted Make My Model two tone coupe (dark green & dark grey)
- a detailed chimney
- a small garage
- a weathered concrete driveway
- detailed hydrangeas
- concrete sidewalk in front of the house
- a handmade poplar tree
- a base with complete scenery
The model sits on a laminated base of birch plywood and Gatorfoam (tm) that measures 3" x 5". At its highest point, the tree, the model stands approximately 3" tall. As always, I will include a detailed materials list and a brief how-to should you wish to match the scenery materials that I used to make this diorama. I hope that this hand made, signed and dated, diorama will find a place on your z-scale train layout or as a conversation piece on your shelf, mantle, or desk.
Please note this is a scale model, not a toy. It is not suitable for children. Besides it is much too nice for children in any case.
I will happily ship outside of the United States. Please contact me and we can work out shipping details if you are interested.
This Albion kit house would be perfect in any neighborhood. I will be happy to build an Albion house in your choice of colors for $199.99. If you buy three or more built Albion houses, I will give you a 10% discount.
