The Rose Tavern
A Z-Scale diorama by Paw of a Bear
Back to the Z Gallery
The Rose Tavern is a Z-scale version of a typical, slightly rundown, neighborhood bar. Through the front windows you can see the tables and the bar. A covered staircase leads to the upstairs apartment. A shed style structure added onto the back of the tavern houses a kitchen. In the fenced garden next to the tavern, you can see the climbing roses that give the establishment its name. SOLD TO A PRIVATE COLLECTOR
The Rose Tavern includes the following features:
- a large window in the storefront
- a hand drawn sign ornamented with rambling roses
- tarpaper roofing
- a hand made chimney
- two hand made roof jacks
- a gooseneck lamp
- an ornate cornice
- a fenced in side garden complete with climbing roses
- empty crates in the back
- venting from the kitchen
- vintage signs
- trash cans
- and a gravel driveway
Please note this is a scale model, not a toy. It is not suitable for children. Besides it is much too nice for children in any case.
Here is a photograph of the Z-scale Rose Tavern put with two other structure dioramas to make City Block No.2
SOLD TO A PRIVATE COLLECTOR If you would like me to build something like this for your scale model railroad, please do drop me an email at mthduggan@pawofabear.com. We can discuss your budget and needs.
