Ken Johnson keeps his house in perfect order. He bought it brand new. He raised his family in it. Now he and Mabel are enjoying having the extra rooms. Mabel has turned little Timmy's room into a quilting studio. Ken's put a pool table in the basement. They both enjoy gardening together and can often be seen out working happily in the yard.

This little ranch house is typical of those found all over the United States. A modest bungalow featuring:
- a perfect picture window for the front room
- a front door with a fan window and door knob
- brass porch lamp
- laser cut three tab shingles
- an amazing herringbone walkway
- a hand-crafted deciduous tree
- a detailed chimney
- open windows complete with curtains and glazing
- a lightly weathered concrete driveway
- fantastically detailed flower box
- two hydrangea bushes
- a couple of shrubs in the front
- trellised roses on one wall
- a base with complete scenery
The model sits on a laminated base of birch plywood and Gatorfoam (tm) that measures 4 7/8" x 3". At its highest point, the tree, the model stands approximately 3 1/4" tall. As always, I will include a detailed materials list and a brief how-to should you wish to match the scenery materials that I used to make this diorama. I hope that this hand made, signed and dated, diorama will find a place on your N-scale train layout or as a conversation piece on your shelf, mantle, or desk.
Please note this is a scale model, not a toy. It is not suitable for children. Besides it is much too nice for children in any case.
