Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe For months the old clapboard storefront had been empty, then one morning a tall, gangly older gentleman was out on a ladder carefully painting "Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe" with gold paint. Shortly thereafter mysterious boxes and packages arrived. Strange looking folk in even stranger clothing came and went. Mr. Mistopheles had opened his most unusual shop. SOLD TO A PRIVATE COLLECTOR

This scratch-built model includes the following features:

  • 7 modified Tichy windows
  • scratch built store front windows and doors
  • fine railing on brick porch
  • laser cut Paw of a Bear rear door
  • four scratch built trash cans
  • scratch built downspouts
  • Treedad tree in the sidewalk
  • a detailed chimney
  • custom made sign
  • period advertising
  • scratch built power meter
  • concrete sidewalk in front of the house

The model sits on a base Gatorfoam (tm) that measures 2 1/8" x 2 7/8". At its highest point, the top of the cornice, the model stands approximately 2 1/8"" tall. As always, I will include a detailed materials list and a brief how-to should you wish to match the scenery materials that I used to make this diorama. I hope that this hand made, signed and dated, diorama will find a place on your z-scale train layout or as a conversation piece on your shelf, mantle, or desk.

Please note this is a scale model, not a toy.  It is not suitable for children. Besides it is much too nice for children in any case.
